Friday, June 3, 2011 at 2:37PM I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a very good photographer. Scratch that, I'm terrible. It takes incredible patience and focus- both qualities I would likely leave off of my resume. That's why the automatic setting on my camera is my pretty much my best friend. So when I saw this tutorial, a little knot formed in the pit of my stomach. I was torn. Should I try to teach myself how take real pictures again? Believe it or not, back in college I actually knew how to set the aperture and shutter speed, I've just inconveniently forgotten ever since the class ended. But this aweeesome Bokeh Heart Lens DIY has made me want to pick up my camera and start shooting again... because... look how cool this is! I've seen shots like this before- not knowing how they were done (I was just hoping it wasn't photoshop!) But now that I know I can do it myself... the ideas are running wild. I can't resist a good DIY- and needless to say, this one is pretty darn tempting! FOUND HERE.
Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 4:15PM I absolutely adore Lizzie Fortunato's jewerly collections. Her vibrant fabric necklaces have caught my eye recently- especially because I've been seeing so many wonderful DIY tutorials out there using similar techniques. I like this look a lot because it doesn't feel too dressy... Pair a necklace with a simple jersey dress and you've got an incredibly pretty outfit with very little effort... and the less effort I have to put into my outfits- the happier I am :)

I feel a bit claustrophobic when I can't find something (probably just lost in my messy closet somewhere...) So when I saw this how-to on apartment therapy I was stoked.
