Why I Love Snake Plants
Monday, March 25, 2013 at 7:20PM Aside from the succulent, the snake plant (aka mother-in-law's tongue) is my absolute favorite plant for the home. Not only is it a beautiful sculptural addition to any empty corner or side table, it's also incredibly easy to take care of- tolerant of low light levels and irregular watering. As a matter of fact, during winter it only needs to be watered every couple of months! This is definitely the selling point for me, as I have notoriously dreadful luck with keeping plants alive. I also read that NASA found the snake plant to be one of the best plants for improving indoor air quality... I can only imagine how snazzy it would make a space shuttle interior look ;)

Fire Escape & Patio Gardens
Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 2:06PM Although some of us may live in concrete jungles or small spaces- doesn't mean we're not interested in growing our own healthy foods! I've always wanted to start my own garden, but never thought it possible living in my little LA apartment. That's why when I stumbled on Fire Escape Farms, I was thrilled! They have a myriad of gardening products for those of us who don't want to take our green thumbs for granted- even if we're working with some... space-impediment issues *ehem. Take a look at some of my favorite patio garden options i've collected from their site!
