Less Work, More Zen

I could definitely use a moment of zen in the office today. This neon garden by Etsy shop Wendiland looks like it could do the trick! And it would fit perfectly on my desk- right next to the bajillion stacks of papers. Guess I'll just have to add "get zen garden" to my to-do list...

Back To The Grind

Back to a bustling office after 4 days of vacation (aka... flu recovery.) I was feeling an aweful lot better until this morning, when I realized the office was out of coffee!! Ugh. Before I let this New Year start off on the wrong foot, I'm trying to find some inspiration, even if all I can think about is all of the projects I need to get caught up on and this sad little keyboard infront of me... SO here it is, a perfect pick-me-up project from minifanfan. Take some MT Masking Tape and perk your keyboard right up! Who wouldn't want to work on something as adorable as this? Here's to a productive, creative, and fun New Year!

I just LOVE this idea from photographer Annie McElwain's inspiring blog. Using this oversized frame gives these tiny individual photos a greater sense of presence- not to mention its a beautiful way to display her work from over the years. Isn't it refreshing seeing printed photography? Most of us just upload them onto our computers and forget about them--- so seeing physical photos is a kind of sweet nostalgic thing. I love the soft color palette too... very pretty and goes with her space so well!

Leaf-it Bookmark Sticky Notes

I love the work of Korean designer Sangwoo Nam from APPREE who created the leaf-it memo pads. Imagine using these in place of those ugly yellow post-its! I can just see them on my memo board at work or perhaps my fridge to keep up reminders! They're also great for bookmarks or even art pieces (see the site.) Very cool.
