Sally England: Modern Macramé

I have a deep appreciation for all things vintage. Doilies, knobs, buttons and lace, these are a few of my favorite things! But, not everyone is as excited about raiding Grandma's attic as I am. That said, I realize how hard pressed I may be to convince some folks that vintage macramé is actually pretty cool. However, I can confidently share Sally England's work, and announce from the mountain tops that this textile is making a comeback!! Seriously! Look at how she has used macramé to create a room-dividers, headboards, suspended art, plant-hangers and even lampshades! It's absolutely beautiful and even contemporary looking.
