Morgan + Seth's Dark & Playful Wedding Invitations

Morgan and Seth love black, red, skulls and anything a little rock 'n' roll. They also happen to be my close friends who are getting married in May! Keeping this in mind, I knew designing their wedding invitations was going to be a blast. We wanted the invites to be a little dark, romantic, edgy and slightly playful... just like them.

Here's what we came up with... Along with a formal invitation, guests got a "ticket" to the show, a "flyer" for the reception, and a timeline of events. I'm so happy with how it turned out! A big congrats to them!

On the Job: Save the Date Design

Here's a sneak peak into one of the projects I've been working on. It's a Logo and Save the Date design I've been working on for my friend who's getting married in May! She wanted to keep it simple, natural- and incorporate one of those adorable photobooth strips we've been seeing everywhere! Here's what we've come up with so far...

Unique Fabric Invitations

I work at an event coordination and gifting company in Los Angeles, so it's important that I stay ontop of trends for these services. A really cool new thing I've been seeing pop up is the use of fabric & embroidered invitations. Bringing in textures to you invitation ads a touch of personality and gives it a special hand-made quality. Our clients love to give invitations that look unique and personal- and by letting them pick out a coordinating fabric, it gives them the opportunity to input their own ideas during the creative process. It's a nice option to bring in to your design work, and it's actually relatively inexpensive. You can buy iron-on papers to give the illusion of printed fabric, or for a little more moolah, you can use a sewing machine that hooks directly to your computer to embroider whatever your little heart desires! Check out Bird and Banner for more fabric invite inspiration...
