Diana Scherer Soil Studies

At first glance, it looks as though these plants are contained in lovely dark brown vases, however, upon closer examination you'll see that these plants are in fact, floating in their own soil. The exposed roots create such a beautiful effect! Although these plants would never hold up in a home, a vase with that pattern printed on it would be absolutely brilliant, don't you think?! VIA

BHLDN Inspired Events

I couldn't have planned a more wonderful party last night. I spent a warm Summer's evening enjoying sangria's, tapas, laughs and memories at a friends bridal shower under the stars. It was just beautiful. The bride to-be was glowing from head to toe and her joy was absolutely contagious. So of course my mind is still lingering on that this morning- actually inspiring today's post. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share my favorite event inspiration site called BHLDN. It provides viewers an extensive gallery of inspirational images that you can use to create your own mood boards. Whatever style you have in mind for an event- they've got a creative solution for that! Take a look at some of these dreamy snapshots that are sure to get your creative juices flowing! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Bluebellgray: Watercolor Textiles

These fabrics from Bluebellgray scream "Spring." The gorgeous colorful textiles are perfect for those of us ready to swap out our heavy dark linens with something a little more cheerful. Something about these remind me of those printed pillows from the 80's that evey suburban housewife had on their splatter paint sofas...(except this is like the cool little sister -without all the hairspray and purple eyeshadow. lol.) They also have lovely wall hangings- which could be a great way to update a space from Winter to Spring...

Fabric Necklaces : Finds & DIY

I absolutely adore Lizzie Fortunato's jewerly collections. Her vibrant fabric necklaces have caught my eye recently- especially because I've been seeing so many wonderful DIY tutorials out there using similar techniques. I like this look a lot because it doesn't feel too dressy... Pair a necklace with a simple jersey dress and you've got an incredibly pretty outfit with very little effort... and the less effort I have to put into my outfits- the happier I am :)
