It was so wonderful enjoying the outdoors, thanks to the beautiful weather in Los Angeles this weekend. Aside from the little sunburn I got (darn this Irish complexion,) it was such an inspiring time! I just loved taking in all the colors of Spring. That said, I've been thinking of putting together a little Spring-palette inspired gathering. The colors are wonderful to work with and have this great uplifting effect. I love her darling reminders like "CHECK EXPIRATION" pasted on the fridge," "EAT MORE FIBER" ever so lovingly hung above the toilette, and of course,"CALL YOU FOLKS" which is especially appropriate for this holiday weekend! Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 7:28PM Oh my gracious, I totally have a new favorite designer! Actually, it's a design duo, husband and wife Robert and Cortney, who are best known as the Novogratz. I saw them on HGTV a few nights ago and they blew me away. After looking at their portfolio I was floored. Their spaces are quirky- colorful - practical - fun - elegant - modern - vintage - all with a no-rules approach. My favorite part is the fact that their rooms don't look overly designed or matchy-matchy (which I've never been a fan of.) Rather, the spaces look effortless- while still making a statement about whoever lives there. Definitely my kind of designers. It's a wonder how they do it all while raising seven children!
Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 5:06PM I love love love surprises. So, I don't think I could ask for a better invitation in the mail than this one found at Oh Happy Day. Using exploding confetti poppers is such an ingenious idea! I can't help but think "Why didn't I think of that!?" I am in the invitation-making business afterall... That's just another reason it's so important to keep your eyes peeled for great ideas like this!
