I've had the biggest blog crush on Design Love Fest for a while now... and today I think it's turned into a case of borderline obsession. Who wouldn't want to be best friends with this beautiful group of people? Not to mention, these guys know how to throw a party! Their mixology soirée looks absolutely epic... Vanilla Ice (Ice Baby)

Typical bipolar Los Angeles weather- today is 88°F outside with a slight chance of lightning and thunder later?! What's a Cali girl to do when she just wants to snuggle up on a couch and enjoy the storm outside... when it's THIS HOT OUT? Do I reach for the iced tea or a hot vanilla latte? Welp, here's a cool solution found over at the blog Oh My Veggies. Try making Vanilla Ice Cubes! That warm and creamy vanilla taste combined with the frozen almond milk is sure to keep you cool and satisfied! Kiersten, blogger of Oh My Veggies, recommends adding the cubes to root beer, iced coffee or even lemonade.

As I can only imagine Vanilla Ice saying this best, "Yo, if you have a problem *this recipe* will solve it!" I believe it does indeed! Have a great weekend :)

Warm Weather Shots

I wish it was warmer out... it would be a good enough excuse to serve up cocktails out of a watermelon.

You need a keg shank- and a delicious recipe...

Like So:

Puree 4 cups watermelon chunks; strain.Stir in 4 ounces Alize Red Passion or other fruit-flavored liqueur, 8 ounces gin and 2 cups sour mix; chill. Add sparkling rose before serving. Garnish with lime. Makes 10 to 12 drink.

P.S. this can be buzz-free if you substitute the liquer with sprite :)

I could drink just about anything out of these awesome pewter animal shot glasses from aplustore.
