The Edible Cookbook

Here's a real feast for the eyes... and the stomach. Design group KOREFE created a cookbook that can be read, cooked, and eaten. Made out of 100% fresh pasta, the "pages" can be opened, filled with ingredients then cooked into your favorite lasagna meal. Although the cookbook was designed as a special project for a large publishing house, this is definitely food for thought. I'm feeling pretty inspired by this dish, so I may try embellishing my next lasagna with cookie cutter shapes to give it that letterpress effect!

DIY: Book Page Jars

Saw this DIY Book Page Jar over at the fabulous blog Arrow & Apple and HAD to share. If you have a moral qualm with tearing up books- no worries- her blog suggests using old drawings, maps or even contact paper to do the trick. Love this!

Paper Pages : Nail Design

I'm usually a short bare fingernails kind of girl (you have to be when you're dealing with ink and printing all day) but this is something I MUST try out sometime... It's a clever little imprint nail design you can do with newspapers you have around the house. Very cute! VIA

You will need:

• Scissors

• Pale Nail Polish

 •  Clear Varnish (& Top Coat)

• Newspaper

• Alcohol (Vodka or other)

Directions:

1. Paint nails with light polish.

2. Apply varnish.

3. Put alcohol in a small glass.

4. Cut small pieces of paper newspaper (big enough to cover nail.)

5. When nails are dry, soak them in alcohol.

6. Cover your nails with the small pieces of paper newspaper.

7. After a few seconds, remove pieces of newspaper slowly.

8. Let dry and apply a layer of top coat.
