Sculptural Florals & Bouquets

Wonderful News!! One of my closest friends is getting married and has asked me to be a bridesmaid and help with the wedding decor! I'm so thrilled and honored... Not only do I get to be apart of the most important day of her life, I also get to help PLAN A WEDDING! Eek! This has been a secret wish of mine for the longest time... I guess the strange thing is, I would rather plan someone else's wedding than my own. Most people can settle on the theme/colors. I, on the other hand, have trouble deciding on what color I want my hair, so how could I possibly pick colors for my own wedding?! I'm hoping this might bring some inspiration for any *ehem* future wedding planning I might have to do  :)

I've decided to start researching flowers and bouquets, so my first stop for inspiration is Bows & Arrows. Here you'll find some of the most beautiful and unique floral arrangements you can imagine. I really love the way long succulents are used in the bouquet from this photoshoot, giving it a strong yet organic shape. The centerpieces for this wedding are quite lovely as well... And perfect for a Fall wedding!

I had a beautiful succulent in my bridal bouquet. I'm not sure of its name but when it's young it's silvery with a pink blush. Eight years later the succulent saved from my bouquet is growing in various places around our home and garden and I love the thought my daughter can include it in her wedding should she decide to marry one day.
