I Loom You

These images from New Friends take me back to 3rd grade- when I had an awesomely bohemian-hippie arts and crafts teacher who taught me how to use a loom. It's a shame I've forgotten how to do it. Making little pieces like this would be a really nice thing to hang up on a wall or give as gifts- perhaps as coasters, placements or pretty little pot holders. So if you're interested in learning how to do this yourself here's a link from my favorite youtube channel Threadbangers. It has the step-by-step instructions- making me feel a bit less guilty about forgetting how to do it myself ;)

I love that first little collection, what a great set of colours! You could make a lovely little arrangement of them on a wall or a sideboard.

Oh I love these! Thanks for the link. I have never tried weaving on a loom before or any kind of weaving come to think of it. I think it looks wonderful and am itching to try!
