DIY Doily Lamp
Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2:47PM It's so Grandma- but so cute (and easy). This DIY Doily-Lace Lamp was inspired by the beautiful pendant lamp found at reMade USA... except this one costs you the price of a balloon, wallpaper glue & doilies... Instructions found at DOS FAMILY.

This is too awesome. Love it!
Do you think you could use fabric stiffener instead of wallpaper glue?
How does the DIY Doily Lamp get to be so bright??
Beautiful work
So very pretty c: I especially like all the shadows it can make. I'll have to try it some time.
I tried a number of years ago to make croched balls for the tree. I couldn't get any of my baloons to blow up nice and round. Didn't like the lop-sided balls :-(
These are beautiful! I used them as the "daily craft" on our facebook page. Check us out at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brushes-and-Thread/231012056980834
I have seen this before, what a fun craft!!
Have you ever tried liquid fabric starch. When they use to use doilies with ruffles they would pin them on a piece of card board after heavily starching and form the stand up ruffles. They would let them dry and the ruffles would stand up from the table.I bet it would work. The smell is nice also. I don't think the heat would bother the starch. Hope it works for you. Kathleen
