Paper Pages : Nail Design

I'm usually a short bare fingernails kind of girl (you have to be when you're dealing with ink and printing all day) but this is something I MUST try out sometime... It's a clever little imprint nail design you can do with newspapers you have around the house. Very cute! VIA

You will need:

• Scissors

• Pale Nail Polish

 •  Clear Varnish (& Top Coat)

• Newspaper

• Alcohol (Vodka or other)

Directions:

1. Paint nails with light polish.

2. Apply varnish.

3. Put alcohol in a small glass.

4. Cut small pieces of paper newspaper (big enough to cover nail.)

5. When nails are dry, soak them in alcohol.

6. Cover your nails with the small pieces of paper newspaper.

7. After a few seconds, remove pieces of newspaper slowly.

8. Let dry and apply a layer of top coat.

This is a fantastic idea! Would be cool if you used words typed on paper from your fave books.

Do your nails smell like vodka afterwards?

can alcohol be a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol?

what i did was paint my nails a french white with no base coat. then i put on a top coat and let sit for 30 seconds then soaked my finger in vodka (we had a lime flavored one but it still worked) for another 30 seconds. after taking it out of the vodka i presses the paper on (magazines worked the best) my nail till the vodka had seeped all the way through. slowly pulled it off, if i had tugging i put my finger in the vodka, and then rubbed off any paper residue. yes your fingers smell funny, but it washes off. the trick is to get the paper on when your nail polish is in that dry yet sticky stage. hope my comment has helped. it looked quite awesome!

Just tried this with a white nail polish and chinese newspaper! It looks great. I used rubbing alcohol, which works just fine.

Nail art to be permanently changed by a single products or strategy. However, nail art peel off stickers comprise this type of products. When using nail art peel off stickers, even incredibly new designers often make amazing styles to vie with people who have been doing this for years. And as nail art peel off stickers get more and more well-known, more styles are growing to the lead.

This is cool. Will definitely try this when my nails are long enough. Shame the words are mirrored. Except, do you really want the news printed on your nails these days when it's all depressing?

Varnish is another word for nail polish. The word varnish is normally said by either proper or British people.
