Zip It Up In Style

Have you ever noticed that in magazines or home photography there are rarely ever televisions or computers in sight? Thats because it doesn't matter how awesome your space looks- when there are wires, cords and massive black boxes in the middle of your room- it's really hard to design around that. As much as wish I could funtion without a television in my living room- it's just not feasible. I've got to get my Project Runway fix somewhere... so the TV stays put. So what can we do to make living with these necessary inconveiences in the middle of our homes less obtrusive? Well, one thing is hiding as much of the equipment as possible- if you have an armoire to put it in- awesome. But if you're like me and can't afford to go out and buy new furniture- you live with your TV exposed, and keep the cords as tidy as possible. A company called LufDesign has created these awesome Leaf zip-ties to help us do that. They're adorable little leaf-shaped instruments that help you with cord-organization. I'm already getting some of these for my office because I can't stand seeing cords draped everywhere. And if they are going to be seen, I'd prefer they have a cute little leaf wrapped around them!
