Los Angeles : Affordable Organic Food Co-Op

My friend just told me about this wonderful organic food co-op she's been apart of for years called Abundant Harvest Organics. It's an alliance of local family farmers who grow fresh organic produce and put together packages that you pick up once a week. The box is either $20 or $30 dependng on how many people you plan to feed with it. The only catch is: you may have to learn new RECIPES because you don't choose whats in the box- this is because it's filled with whatevers in season! They say trying new foods is good for you anyway... especially if they're healthy! Abundant Harvest located all over Southern California- but there are a ton of other Farmer Co-ops all over the country (Check OUT HERE.) Not only is it good for you the planet, it's also inexpenisive- and I, of all people, appreciate a good deal!
