Girls Night : Spa Getaway
Monday, March 22, 2010 at 6:53PM Hello hello! I hope everyone had a splendid weekend. I enjoyed the beautiful weather with my sister and friend by hiking over at griffith park. We followed it by going to a awesome little cafe called the Coffee Table which is about 5 minutes away in Silverlake. Their coffee is amazing, especially while sipped sitting at the mosaic tabletops on their garden patio. Attached to the shop is a relaxation and meditation room that helped inspire an idea for this weeks Girl's Night. We'll be doing a spa night including face masks, healthy grub and yoga and meditation. I've found some items that may inspire you to have a little well-deserved R&R. Enjoy!

Try This:
HONEY OATMEAL FACIAL
Honey is a natural antiseptic and is used to bind the honey and yogurt. The oatmeal will absorb excess oil from acne-prone skin and serve as a gentle exfoliant.
1/4 cup plain yogurt or buttermilk
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 tablespoons of honey
Finely grind or process the oatmeal in a blender or food processor. Set aside. In a small bowl, stir together honey and yogurt, and then add ground oatmeal. Mix thoroughly until a smooth paste consistency has been reached. Smooth over your face and neck, leave on for fifteen minutes, and rinse off with warm water. Can be used daily. (from Spa Index)
